Blackout

Some things are just more exciting in the dark.

We’re sure you can come up with a few examples. But here’s another one – fashion shoots. And you’ll definitely want to leave any reticence at the door for this one.

Blackout is the latest installation from artist and inhibition adversary Jesse Willesee, who will be dimming the lights of six hotel rooms above the Darlo Bar for a debaucherous fashion show in pitch-black.

Think whacked out props, models getting weird and new-season threads by 100 Squared designers Coco Liberace, Rocking on Fifth, White Rabbit, Carpe Diem and Holly Jones.

Oh, and one more twist: You’re the photographer.

Stomp from room to room to a live DJ’d soundtrack, snapping the scenes as they’re caught in the lights of torches and camera flashes or just watching the madness emerge from the darkness. Other than that, expect the unexpected.

And be thankful it’s not your credit card being held at the front desk.
