a week to make waves

It’s going to be a wet and wild week. Kicking off with the prestigious Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta this Saturday, you’ll be spoilt for choice for what to do in and out of the water during Sydney Harbour Week (1-9 March).

Spectators: get to a vantage point along our iconic foreshore. Cheer on competitors and watch more than 250 yachts battle it out on the waves.

Competitors: paddle-up with 400 other paddle-craft, racing from the Harbour Bridge to Manly Beach in the Bridge to Beach ocean race. Swim fans will be making different strokes across the harbour, with 800 challengers in the 7th Sydney Harbour Swim Classic.

Adventurers: try a scuba diving introductory class or baby seahorse guided dive. Guided snorkelling tours also on offer.

Speed enthusiasts: the world’s fastest water-sport race – the Superboat Grand Prix takes place for the first time in Sydney. Superboats reach phenomenal speeds of 220km/ph.

Revellers: be seen at Middle Harbour Yacht Club taking in the shoreside entertainment including Henri Lloyd Fashion Parades, Audi happy hours, beach parties, bbqs and presentations.

Youngsters: keep them entertained with a free harbour cruise at Kids Afloat or a free sea rafting session at Chowder Bay.

Boating fans: navigate your way through the Classic and Wooden Boat Festival. An impressive display of graceful yachts, streamlined speedboats, traditional maritime crafts, heritage boats and a nautical themed marketplace.
