A thirst for better wine

North Sydney Cellars
Drinking buddies and business partners David Cochran, Ben Ryan and Jules Gutierrez know a thing or two about wine. The lads behind North Sydney Cellars have more than 50 years of wine industry experience between them; their knowledge matched by the pursuit and passion for highly decent drink.

And like a fine vintage, their enterprise keeps improving with age.  Last December a new Cafe opened within the bottle shop serving simple, seasonal fresh meals, offering nil corkage and expert food and wine matching advice.

Their imported Enomatic tasting system, designed to serve and keep wine at the correct tasting temperature grants you 50 wines by the glass.  This week the choice includes Penfolds Grange 2001 ($49 for 100ml).

You can now sign up for the Cellars’ wine maker tasting program. Tastings are casual and fun, crafted to offer insight into a particular winemaker’s style and philosophy. Even better, you can try rare wines that are not available to the general public.
