Raves are good and all, apart from the getting home at 6am thing and the having to spend the whole weekend recovering side effects. Or so we’ve been told, anyway. But sometimes you want to party like it’s 1999 and not have a hangover to deal with.

Morning Gloryville, the new morning rave to hit Melbourne is your answer. This space for conscious clubbing started in London in 2013 and has made its way to New York, Amsterdam, and Tokyo, along with another 15 cities. Their theory? Why go for a run or hit the treadmill before work when you can really get in touch with your body and lift your serotonin levels by having a good ol’ fashioned dance.

In Melbourne, or 1000 Pound Bend to be exact, there will be healthy smoothies from the Nutrition Bar, coffee from Ripponlea Food & Coffee, there will be yogis guiding you through a few down dogs, and even free massages. The tunes will be coming from Fintan McGivern, CC Disco, and Salvador Darling (tunes the real ravers will be very familiar with).

You can come and leave any time between 6.30am and 9.30am. You’re going to get sweaty, so dress accordingly. Oh and FYI this isn’t a come down party for those of you at actual raves. This is a sober pre-work kind of rave. You get it?
