On Market Day, it’s all about relationships, really. A time to mingle with your fellow foodies and taste your way around the goodies put up by local producers.

You’ll find so many reasons to be cheerful – marriages made in foodie heaven that can last a lifetime on the palate, if not (let’s hope!) on the hips.

Cheesemaker Richard Thomas isn’t greedy with his precious knowledge and a masterclass between 6.15pm-7pm allows budding Masterchefs to understand his passion for all things crumbly and creamy. Because one slice of cheesy goodness is never enough, start with Phillippa Sibley’s cooking demonstration of her Haloumi cheese dish and wash it all down with a lesson in dessert dishes from 7.15pm-8pm.

And the best news? The launch of the Albert St Online Store opens even out-of-towners to the opportunity of calorie-laden deliciousness, including salami and chorizo from Savour and Grace, beautiful bocconcini from That’s Amore, the salty pleasure of marinated olives and smooth EVO oil from Mount Zero. Distillery Works are the talented folk behind the Ciao Vino Italian range and the wine flows even more plentifully with samples from Bibendum Wines and Payton Vignerons, as well beer from Trumer Pils Beer.
