A Cafe That’s All About Dips

Dip. It’s a wonderful thing. We don’t think we’ve ever crossed paths with a person who didn’t enjoy the concept of sticking amazing bread into a bowl of tasty blended goodness. Well, the team at Dip In realised this and decided to make a whole restaurant based on the beautiful thing that is dips.

After travelling the world, these two best friends discovered flavours from far and wide and decided Melbourne was the place to bring them all to. Cheers to that.

With the name, there is no surprise the main attraction is the dips. 17 dips made in-house to be more exact. Go for anything from the tuna dip and Biltong pate, to sun-dried tomato, pine nut pesto and Moroccan carrot. Or you can stick to the things you know well with hummus, tzatziki, and guacamole. The dips come with house-made baked bread – traditional, olive or seed, and the gluten free among us can opt for the fresh GF loaf from Covent Bakery.

If you’re not up for the dips (why, seriously, why?) you can go for the Vietnamese chicken salad, served with a bit of heat, or the grilled salmon with greens and honey mustard dressing.

Breakfast is also available for those who like dips first thing in the morning. The “Dip In Your Way’ create your own adventure breakfast lets you choose your eggs, your bread, your dip, and then your sides. Brilliant. You can also go for things like the French toast with vanilla mascarpone, banana, berries, maple syrup, and cinnamon sugar, or the ham, cheese, and tomato croissant.
