For goodness sake Saké Restaurant & Bar opens
Next time you’re charged with booking 'feed us' for your colleagues or crew, take on the challenge armed with the right know-how.
Designed by Luchetti Krelle the recently opened Saké Restaurant & Bar bodes well for intimate parties or those occasions when you’re in need of a PDR (private dining room).
If you’re moderately popular: The ‘Bonsai’ private dining room seats 20 at a large communal table and has screened sliding doors for extra privacy.
The ‘Cherry’ and ‘Blossom’ rooms both seat 8 and are divided by slatted wooden walls that look onto the hustle and bustle of the open kitchen.
If amongst super socialite status, the ‘Kampai’ comfortably seats 34, or if your guests are happy to get up close and personal, opt for the traditional Japanese sunken dining area to fit 30 (at five tables of 6).
You can then sit back and let Executive Chef Shaun Presland (ex Nobu Atlantis, Unkai and Sushi e) and his team of sushi chefs to dazzle. Expect sharing-style Japanese fusion menus matched with ‘Kozaemon sakes’, a premium range from a 300-year-old boutique brewery in Japan and exclusive to the restaurant and bar.
