The Wedding Nest

WN2Everyone has a bowerbird colour; a hue that repeats across wardrobe, wall and window treatment. For actual bowerbirds, it’s cobalt blue and shows up in the form of milk bottle caps, bits of paper and shreds of fabric.

Rather than building your nest in the David Attenborough recycling-meets-sculpture way, there are some wonderful alternates for couples embarking on a life of wedding bliss.

The Wedding Nest is a carefully collated online bridal registry service that supports local Australian artisans and artists, as well as stocking popular brands like Papaya and Orson & Blake.

In a clever twist, Jacqui and Zoe, the website’s creators have styled the items into four interior styles – Beach, French, Contemporary and Eclectic – so gifters can see what their purchases look like in situ. Registries are presented as online lookbooks, complete with style images, to inspire guests and bridal couples alike.

Jacqui Zoe have just opened a concept shop in Mosman for a style consultation or await the relaunch of their website in mid-May when you’ll be able to browse thousands of pieces.
