The Finders Keepers Autumn/Winter Market

Finders KeepersHave you ever stomped on a crunchy pile of Autumn leaves? Or finger-written frosty messages on someone’s windscreen? Autumn brings a childlike feeling of wanting to be wrapped in stripy scarves and drinking hot chocolate in cosy cafes. It’s also a wise time to invest in some quirky items for the home and hearth seeing as though it’s nesting season.

Finders Keepers markets will showcase all things handmade, artistic and vintage with stalls from up-and-coming fashion, accessory and homewares designers.

In addition to the 200 designers who have shown before, there will be an exciting line up from APOM or ‘A Part of Me’, a range of women’s clothing all made in Melbourne, featuring hand rendered prints and screen-printed garments. Founders Kajsa and Kate draw inspiration from the natural world around us, story books, music, film and photography; looking for people to draw a connection with the garments beyond just a piece of clothing.

Frankie Magazine is having a stall selling their unique brand of whimsy and there will be sixteen Debut stalls for people whose genius has yet to be unleashed on the world.

One of the Debut brands is Klaus Goods, a line of hand stitched Australian and Kiwi leather accessories created by someone who was worried about the dwindling tanning trade downunder. Another is Melbourne based Pop Plant – because you need a sturdy pot plant in a hand-crafted colourful concrete pot for your urban abode.

Hungry for something more instantly satisfying? Roam amongst the food selling gypsies and nibble away the evening.
