Zara makes Sydney her new home

Zara flagship store opens

Zara bright, Zara bright, the first Australian store open equals shopping delight.

No doubt, on your travels you’ve met senorita Zara. Opening in Spain in 1975, she’s become an international fashion house to be reckoned with.

Zara has finally arrived on our shores with specific collections created for the Australian market adapted from global trends. Open on Pitt Street in Westfield Sydney its three levels entail 1,400m² of retail therapy and credit card damage zones to meander through.

First stop, Zara ‘Women’ where you’ll find pieces that mirror the latest fashion trends. A runway of bright, bold and block colour, tailored jackets, coats, and dresses and easy mixed and matched looks along with footwear, handbags, leather goods and scarves.

For everyday wardrobe staples with an even friendlier price tag head for their ‘Basic’ range. ‘TRF’ is better suited for your younger daughter/niece/friend, and little people (collections for children 0 – 16 years) in ‘Kids’ are also looked after. You can expect a flood of ‘mini me’ mum and dad looks on Sydney streets soon.

Not forgetting the gents, Zara ‘Man’ collections will make shopping for guys a breeze. There are classic standards, high street, sporty and casual looks with a big selection of accessories for men.

Look out for their numbered limited edition range made just for Sydney. Hint: there’s just twenty-six of the men’s navy suede overnight bag ($239) and one hundred croc-leather platform pumps ($199).

New stock arrives twice weekly (Tuesday and Fridays) – just in case you can’t brave the opening day 200-deep crowd.
