The Rocks Vintage Dinner

The Vintage DinnerLadies and gentleman, dust off your best vintage frocks. The Rocks Vintage Dinner is back and is set to be better than ever.

On Friday 4th April The Rocks will once again transform into a restaurant under the stars, with long tables set out on the cobblestones and the vibe very, very Vintage.

This is a sell-out event so get your tickets quick. Diners choose their laneway table when booking – Jack Mundey Place and Kendall Lane are each decked out with a long table and chairs – but the night is about experiencing The Rocks after dark, so you don’t just stay in one place.

A cross between a roaming meal and a fine dining affair, The Vintage Dinner is something a bit different altogether. Forget set menus and alternate dishes – you can pick and choose what you’d like to eat.

Pony Dining, The Cut Bar & Grill, Ananas Bar and Brasserie and Baroque Bistro will all be there, ready to showcase the best their kitchens have to offer. Stations are spread out under the stars, with diners receiving tokens to redeem for tasting plates.

Whether it’s Mirrool Creek lamb served with eggplant and white beans from Pony Dining, a beef brisket from The Cut Bar & Grill or a selection of the famous Ananans éclairs, you’ll have plenty of tokens to put together your own degustation. Save room for La Renaissance Patisserie and Baroque Bistro’s Gateau St Honor, Valrhona chocolate gateau or of course, Baroque macarons and a Little Marionette coffee.

With a sparkling wine on arrival, and a showcase of regional NSW wines to match your dishes, you won’t go thirsty either.

Just don’t forget the dress code – vintage isn’t compulsory  but there’ll be plenty of others who have dressed up for the occasion. Go on, get your vintage on.
