The Parlour Room is pampering on point

The Parlour Room

It’s 9am, Tailor Swift and Beyoncé are on the playlist, with a little bit of Britney for good measure, the room is light and bright, a prime spot on Clovelly Road. No, this isn’t a hot new pilates studio or workout space. It’s The Parlour Room.

This is not your average beauty salon. There’s not a single TV screen playing daytime reruns in sight. Instead, 3o year old Natalie Papadopolous has filled her space with sleek, chic manicure stations with marble bench tops. Pedicure seats are mounted to the wall, with black leather cushions, and fixed sinks with black fixtures. There are facial rooms upstairs, with beds and doonas, and a spray tan suite.

The Parlour Room manicures

The Parlour Room is fresh from its very own revamp – Natalie first opened the doors six years ago and spent the last twelve months turning this space into something pretty special. It’s like stepping off the street into a high end day spa or hotel without the sky high price tags. And the proof is in the steady stream of women walking out the door with perfect nails, glowing skin and make up that’s on point.

Who doesn’t love a bit of pampering? Popping into The Parlour Room is more than that – the team are here to have fun. In between the little puffs of glitter SNS powder going up in the air, there’s tips and tricks being traded on everything from the latest looks from the Races to the best new bars down the road. The manicurists are quick to offer up their favourite OPI shades at the moment, or to match a colour to your dress for the day. We love that every first timer needs to buy a $5 starter kit – buffer, files and tools that you get to keep and make sure the treatment is top notch when it comes to hygiene.

When it comes to facials, there’s an express 30 minute facial that’s a perfect pick me up, or the Vitamin C facial, or try out Glycocure Resurfacing peel. Then there’s the Omnilux LED light therapy treatment. Beloved by celebrities, it’s non-invasive and helps kick start cell repair. The team also takes care of makeup, waxing, tinting and lashes, so you can do top to toe if you’ve got the time.

Whether you’ve got a big event coming up, or just need a little bit of you time, The Parlour Room will take very good care of you.
