Our Top 10 dishes at the Night Noodle Markets

WaffelandCome rain, hail or shine we love the Night Noodle Markets! She might be 20 years old, but she’s like a good wine, she really does get better with age. She’s still free and still a great way to catch up with your squad. You know the drill: grab your mates, some spare grass or bench space and prepare to divide and conquer checking out some of the best food in town.

Ok, so there’s a lot of choice, with 35 stalls this year competing for your attention, but we’ve done the hard work for you (someone has to taste test!). Grab your beer, wine or kombucha and make a beeline for our top ten dishes:

1. KFC Cheese Puffle, Puffle
This drool-worthy insta fave is a must try. A generous amount of Korean fried chicken is stuffed into a signature cheese puffle topped with Japanese mayonnaise. It’s unforgettable and you might be back for seconds (we wont judge!).

7. Chicken Adobo Rice Bowl, Hoi Pinoy
You can’t go wrong with a generous serve of tasty hot saucy chicken and rice.

8. Mac ‘n’ Goreng, Poklol
Fusion fanatics get over here and this Asian take on the American classic comfort dish.

Disclaimer: we all know dessert is a sits a separate stomach, so it needs a category of its own.

9. Gelato Messina.
Whatever they’re serving, it’s always good. This year they’ve gone to the Philippines with Brazo de Mercedes, a pimped up Halo Halo and a peach and mango ode to Jollibee.

1o. Everything at Waffleland
Cheeky Monkey will make you feel like a kid raiding the cupboard for treats when Mum goes out (think peanut butter, ice cream, bananas, pretzels, caramel syrup and wafer sticks on top of waffle). Then there’s Bangkok Night, a large fresh hot waffle stick with warm Nutella and icing sugar – you can even get a gluten free version.
