Mixed Martial Arts Club

My, my, aren’t we looking fit? Head Coach Richie Cranny and his crack team of fitness trainers know how to put you through the work out paces.

A pioneer of what is now known as UK Mixed Martial Arts, Richie has recently co-founded one very slick gym in McMahon’s Point – Platinum Extreme, the first MMA dedicated gym in Sydney.

Haven’t entered the Cage before? Mixed Martial Arts is the new fitness trend growing in popularity in Australia. Popular in the US and UK because it takes the best of many martial arts disciplines such as Thai Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling and Boxing.

You’ll love it if you want to up the intensity of your workout and combine strength, core and cardiovascular fitness all in one class. The small and personal sessions cater for complete novices all the way to the black-belt inclined. You’ll be exposed to the world of sprawling, laying arm bars, underhooks and scrambling, and that’s just in the first hour.

If you prefer to work out with the girls, female only classes are being introduced this August.  And for the men, we’d recommend signing up for Testorone Tuesdays (held once a month you can grab a beer, be introduced to MMA and meet some of the trainers).

In the new facility you’ll find a well-equipped weights room, two fully kitted out MMA studio rooms with world class Zebra mats, wall pads and equipment. Private training and separate change room areas with personal digital lockers.  And if MMA isn’t your type of fight club (yet), we’d suggest trying the Kettle Bell Class, Bag Class, Boxing Circuits or Squad Training.
