Louboutin paints Sydney heels red

If you were a modern day Dorothy, in a heartbeat you’d swap those ruby slippers for Christian Louboutin’s scarlet-soled shoes. Euphorically click your vertiginous heels together and celebrate yesterday’s opening of Christian Louboutin’s first Australian boutique.

Inside the Westfield Sydney store you’ll find pockets of covetable couture – arched niche walls full of glamorous stilettos, metallic pumps, jewel-like sandals and ankle boots, as well as an introduction to the Louboutin range of bags and the men’s collection.

Designed by Mr Louboutin and Eric Clough of 212box, the new store’s façade is a collage of wood tiles each with hand drawn letters, signs and symbols from across the globe. If the footwear is not enough to dazzle (and we believe you’ll find, it really is), there are five thousand hand-blown, emerald green and champagne yellow Syrian glass tear drops hovering cloudlike above the trademark Louboutin red carpet, and in the ceiling tiered into three large chandeliers.

Take a seat on an exotic Bokja pouff and find your perfect power heels. Declare altogether now “there’s no place like Louboutin’s”.
