Gallery Tea Lounge: High Tea a la mode

New look Sheraton on the Park Gallery Tea Lounge
Step off busy Elizabeth Street into the Gallery Tea Lounge and meet your High Tea fellows near the photo column by society photographer Robert Rosen. Whilst you’re waiting you can spot on the walls, a well-known celebrity or two.

Expect high back chairs and soft designer furnishings in chocolate beige and metallic tones; warm, chic touches put in place since the Lounge’s refurbishment designed by Joseph Pang.  It’s a setting befitting for the hotel’s new Contemporary Afternoon Tea menu, where you get to select your own 12 (from a choice of 16) bite-size dishes – perhaps the Tomato and Goats Cheese Panzanella or Deep Sea Scallop with Green Tea Jelly; the Cappuccino Mousse and Biscotti or Waffles and Raspberries with Honey and Yoghurt (cooked in a flambé fashion for all to see).

The alternative is a Traditional High Tea menu the Duchess of Bedford, would be proud of, or for the ultimate ‘High Tea your own way’, try the weekend-only Afternoon Tea Buffet. All the finger sandwiches, cheese plates, hand-made pastries, cakes and scones you can devour.
