s3 Studio Puts Knowledge into Practice

s3barrestudio

The yoga, pilates, barre, and fitness world is really established in Melbourne. You don’t have to follow your feet for very long to find a studio, wherever you start from. But some have a little more history attached, some have a little more charisma, and some have a little more discipline and education behind them. Each studio starts from somewhere.

While s3 is beautiful – clean black lines, huge windows, and soft woods, S3 really sets itself apart from the pack with the approach they take to their pilates, barre, and fitness classes. A physiotherapist’s approach to be exact. All of the classes taught at s3 have been choreographed and designed by a physio and a trainer, ensuring they are made for real bodies and are safe as well as challenging. You can have a session with a physio to get a plan together to determine which classes are best for you and your body. Or simply an appointment for an injury.

S3 is the only studio currently in the world teaching barre classes designed by a physio. These classes are a fusion of dance, pilates, cardio, and endurance. You’ll feel muscles you didn’t know you had in the morning. The pilates classes (either reformer or clinical) work with more traditional principles helping students to build strength and stability in a really safe environment. Perfect for fitness or for mobility in a particular area of the body. All of the classes are small in size, so students are never left in the lurch.

A more common approach threading through the classes at s3 is that of keeping things evolving. Most studios now understand that to get the body in the best shape, it needs to be doing new movements all the time. And s3 understands that as their workouts are constantly evolving and changing, keeping you and your body guessing.

They have two studio spaces, one in South Melbourne and one in Yarraville. Your body will thank you.
