Introducing PM24

Post The Brasserie, French chef extraordinaire Philippe Mouchel has reemerged, this time in the city with bedfellows George Calombaris’ Press Club Group to offer Melbournites PM24.

With more than 20 plus years under his belt and a CV spanning the world over, Mouchel bestows his forte – fresh French contemporary cuisine minus the fancy fanfare. Forget overpowering richness or stuffiness commonplace with French dining, PM24 is a zeitgeist take on classic French fodder.

Perfect for that ‘special’ dinner date (ah-hem, 14 February is fast approaching), business bite, or group get together (perhaps a pre-tennis special menu?), ogle over blue swimmer crab cake; zucchini blossom; or Wagyu beef tartare, or opt for the specials that roll so eloquently off the French waiter’s tongue.

With tables running adjacent to a traditional rotisserie slowly roasting chicken, lamb or suckling pig, PM24 is a sleek bistro style space, with a hint of traditional French rustic charm.

If the menu doesn’t have you returning for more, the complimentary hand-made raspberry marshmallow (a.k.a. sweet gooey pleasure) at the end will.
