breakfOST with the mOST at OST

Winter doesn’t get a mention at OST bar and diner. Radiant heat encases the pine set and plant-lined outdoor terrace, slapping the cold back into the not so hectic end of Bridge Road.

OST is an ellipsis for ‘Original Soundtrack’ and translates to ‘east’ in German. These three letters represent a love of music, the diner’s location and the undertone to the menu taken from Germany, Switzerland and Austria.

For an international taste try the OST brekkie burger with Kaiser Roll, Leberkäse (Austrian meatloaf), Swiss gruyere, egg and mustard, or go all out with the perfect eggs ‘bennie’ or the one pan brekkie, up for nomination as the best in town using premium local produce.

Creamy coffee aromas whirl over cursive candy messages scrawled a-top of magic house-made raspberry and passionfruit cupcakes. Amongst the banter of guests, the music makes way for an atmosphere that welcomes walk-ins, their young ones and four legged friends.

Hungry or hungover? Guten morgen! Try and bite back at the hair of the dog that bit you with a Bloody Mary spiced to your liking.
