Harper & Blohm shacks up with Prince Wine Store Essendon

Price Wine StoreThere is something glorious about cheese. And even more so when the cheese is of the highest quality. It’s just one of life’s truths. We’re not here to tell you why, but rather to simply enjoy this universal truth.

Harper & Blohm Cheese Shop has arrived at the Prince Wine Store in Essendon to help us enjoy everything that is cheese. Perhaps this new venture is as a result of the good things that Bellota Wine Bar is doing over at South Melbourne Prince Wine Store. Either way, we like how these guys think.

Harper & Blohm is the newest specialty cheese shop in Melbourne and they are serving up a collection of cheeses with both Australian and International flavours.

The lady behind the cheese is cheese expert Olivia Sutton, who has been a cheese crusader for more than 10 years working in both wholesale and retail. She has worked with the likes of Calendar Cheese Company, Savour & Grace and Sheridans Cheesemongers in Dublin. It’s safe to say you’re in good hands with this lady.

Sutton is all about bringing cheeses to people – especially the types unknown, or previously not had access to. These include Bruny Island’s raw milk cheeses, some special offerings from Holy Goat, Red Hill Blue, Fleur de Marquis, Epois, Prom Country white mould, and L’Artisan’s washed-rind Mountain Man.

Cheese classes as well as booze-matched cheese classes are on the cards, and Tivoli Road Bakery is also being cut up at H&B. If that’s not a match made in food coma heaven, then we don’t know what is.
