Health is now the norm. While it used to be out there and a little left of centre, the health craze has grown enough momentum and support, that it’s now relevant for us all. Whether we buy organic for the good it does to our body, local for the good it does the farmers, or simple wholefoods, we all dabble in the wellness space. And to prove that, the natural and organic goods industry has increased by 15% in the past 6 years.

About Life, a natural supermarket that has six locations in Sydney and 20 years of operation under its belt, is launching in Melbourne. Bay Street in Port Melbourne to be exact. What started as a small juice bar in Rozelle Sydney has transformed into a holistic space for people looking for healthy, sustainable, and ethical groceries. Plus it’s all made simple with an expert on-hand to help within each store.

The main difference between About Life and our regular supermarkets is the complete removal of artificial preservatives, flavours, sweeteners, and colours. Plus with an ethical and sustainable approach, the footprint is considerably smaller.

You’ll be able to shop for natural and organic produce ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables – mainly locally sourced, meats, dairy, pantry staples, superfoods, eco-friendly bathroom and kitchen products, kids and baby food, plus an in-house label offering really affordable prices. This includes raw desserts, pantry items like coconut oil and chia seeds, all the way to beauty products like body scrubs and bath salts.

AboutLife

There’s also a café on sight serving healthy and wholesome meals like a turmeric bean burrito and hot creamy porridge, salads, smoothies, teas, coffee, and treats. Plus a self-serve space with both hot and cold food. Think raw lasagna, beetroot quinoa risotto, and cauliflower tabbouleh.

It’s a place where the confusion and trouble of healthy shopping and eating is removed. It’s about Life – for those of us who want to live a simple and healthy version of it.
